HOW DO I DETERMINE THE CORRECT POND LINER SIZE?
Length + (Depth x 2) + (Overlap x 2) = Length
Width + (Depth x 2) + (Overlap x 2) = Width
We recommend a 2 foot overlap on all sides of the pond.
Example:
You have dug a 12 foot wide x 15 foot long x 3 foot deep hole in your backyard for the lower koi pond. You will need a 22 foot wide x 25 foot long liner for that pond.
The upper plant pond will be 4 foot wide x 5 foot long x 2 foot deep so that it is one-third the surface area of the koi pond. You will need a 12 foot wide x 13 ft. long liner for the plant pond.
Streambed liner measurements will be determined by the widest point of the streambed, the length of the streambed and the depth of the deepest part of the stream.
