![]() SHOWA/SHOWA SANSHOKU/SHOWA SANKE (SHO-wah) (SHO-wah san-SHO-koo) (SHO-wah SAHN-kee) Showa are three color koi, much like a Sanke, but they are predominately black, with red or white markings. Showa Sanshoku is the formal term for Showa. VARIETIES OF SHOWA Hi Showa Predominantly red, with a straight red marking from head to tail. The Hi tends to be more orange in color than on other Showa varieties. Kindai Showa Predominantly white pattern with much more white on its body than a traditional Showa Boke Showa The Sumi on this variation of Showa is blurred, making it seem closer to gray than black in appearance.
